About Us

There are rare moments in life when one is given the opportunity to get a new perspective – to see things differently than one previously saw them. We are one of those fortunate ones.

A recent health scare in our family made us stop suddenly, and look at what we do, why we do it and where it is taking us – and has caused us to see our bodies and our food in a different way.

It is still early days for us and the changes are gradual, but give that we have been given this gift, we don’t want to waste it.  This is our chronicle of change – and a sharing of our journey with those who know us.  When I was sitting with my diagnosis 3 weeks ago, I couldn’t help but think “If I had only understood – and actually listened to what I had heard- maybe I wouldn’t be sitting here today”.  It shouldn’t take a health problem to make us have a good look at what we eat, and why we eat it.  So I hope that our humble and possibly bumbling  journey will be an encouragement to other ordinary families that it doesn’t take completely radical behavior to lead a healthier more balanced life.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ” Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;  you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

“…offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”
    Romans 12:1-2
